Every photographer goes somewhere for inspiration. If they don’t — they should!
One of the places I love to go is 500PX. When I am looking for new ideas or feeling that photography is looking all the same, a quick browse of 40 pages of the top images worldwide really gets those creative juices flowing.
I get asked the question a lot, “What kind of images do you like, Rikk?” or “What imagery inspires you?” Today, I can share with you that if you were to follow my favorite images on 500px you would get a pretty good idea.

It is a good way to find out what this photographer likes. Even consider opening a free 500px account yourself and keeping track of some of your own favorites. If you do, review it now and again, and see how your tastes and inspiration changes as you grow as a photographer. Not only will you have some of the best photography in the world from which to choose, you will have a community of serious photographers with whom to interact.
