As Lightroom mobile’s apps for iPad and iPhone mature I see a pattern forming – a pattern I can appreciate. Hopefully you can too!
Newer iOS apps being introduced by Adobe are starting to show the hooks into the Lightroom mobile app. The Lightroom mobile app is becoming your imaging hub on mobile devices. Not only does it allow you to easily ingest the image captures of your iPad and iPhone into your existing Lightroom workflow, it also allows you to get those images from your Lightroom catalog into some of your favorite mobile apps.
Here are iPad screen captures of the recently released Adobe apps, Photoshop Mix and Adobe Voice. Both offer the access to your Lightroom synced images for use in the compositing and story-telling apps respectively. I would expect this trend to continue with Adobe’s subsequent app releases and updates to existing apps. It may not come all at once but it is exciting to think of a Lightroom –managed hub feeding your various apps with your quality images.
Note too, that your Creative Cloud account is fully accessible in these two apps as well allowing your to store, transfer and use assets that are non-photographic in nature.
